February 8 - 10 & 15 - 16, 2019
February 2019 will mark the 10th anniversary of the premiere of Jackie B.'s first original A.A. history play In Our Own Words: Pioneers of Alcoholics Anonymous. To celebrate, we are remounting the production with new and returning cast members at The Exit Theatre in San Francisco for two weekends only.
In Our Own Words brings to life the pages of the Big Book, the Twelve & Twelve, the A.A. Grapevine and recordings of the pioneers of Alcoholics Anonymous. With great humor and depth, In Our Own Words retells the stories of our founders in New York, Akron, Cleveland and Los Angeles – as well as the lesser-known struggles of early women, LGBTQ, people of color and young people in A.A.

FAREWELL TOUR SUMMER 2019
The third installment in the Three Legacies Trilogy, Jackie B.’s latest play explores the myriad ways A.A.'s world service structure carries a message of hope to alcoholics around the world. I am Responsible takes audiences in recovery on a sweeping journey from the birth of the Big Book to A.A.'s coming of age at the 1955 General Service Conference in St. Louis.
After three years of touring and over 30 performances, the original production of I am Responsible will close this summer. Final tour dates will be announced in January.
TRADITIONS PLAY CLOSES AFTER FOUR YEARS
After four years and over 35 performances, including shows in Atlanta, GA during the week of the 14th International Conference of Alcoholics Anonymous, the touring production of Our Experience Has Taught Us has closed. We raised over $30,000 for non-profit recovery and twelve-step service organizations and brought the history of the traditions to more than 10,000 people in recovery.
